Following a recent gas safety inspection carried out in the laundry at one of our care home customers, we found the ducting to be heavily blocked with lint build up. Not only is this detrimental to the efficiency of the dryers, this is a major fire risk.

We carried out a full duct clean of both duct runs from the dryers, along with remedial works to where the ducting was incorrectly installed with flexible ducting.

You can see in this picture the amount of lint we removed from both duct runs. Remember to have your ducting regularly checked and cleaned to ensure the efficiency and safety of your dryers and laundry operations.
